Eric Monzo is a partner with the Delaware law firm of Morris James LLP and practices primarily in its downtown Wilmington office. Mr. Monzo’s law practice focuses on business restructuring, fiduciary litigation and the protection of creditors’ rights in the state and federal courts. He is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, where he earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Administration and Psychology and a certification in Human Resources Management in 1999. Mr. Monzo received his law degree from the Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware in 2002. While studying at Widener - Delaware, Mr. Monzo served as a member of the school’s law review and earned a certificate of achievement in Advanced Property Law. Thereafter, in May 2004, Mr. Monzo was certified in employment benefits law and executive compensation through the LL.M program offered by Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law. Prior to entering the private practice of law, Mr. Monzo served as the law clerk to The Honorable Mary Pat Thynge, United States Magistrate Judge for the United States District of Delaware. Mr. Monzo is an attorney of good standing and admitted to practice law in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and the Delaware Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He is also a barrister with the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court. Mr. Monzo is active in the New Castle County community and serves as a court appointed guardian ad litem through Delaware’s Office of the Child Advocate, a non-judicial state agency charged with safeguarding the welfare of Delaware’s children. He volunteers with various civic and charitable organization and is a member of the Volunteer Board of Directors of Supporting Kidds, Inc., a non-profit corporation providing counseling and support services to grieving children and their families. Supporting Kidds, Inc.’s house is located in Hockessin, Delaware. Eric resides in Greenville, Delaware with his wife and three children.
