Thank you for your continued interest in the NCC@2050 Comprehensive Plan.  This afternoon, the New Castle County Department of Land Use released its NCC@2050 Vision Report.  The report can be reviewed here.

Background – The NCC@2050 Comprehensive Plan (which is currently in development) will replace the New Castle County 2012 Comprehensive Plan in the year 2022.  The plan is developed through a community-driven process.  Its purpose is to guide development and public services; shape the communities where we live, work, and play; protect our environmental, historical, and cultural assets; and support a robust economy.  The Vision for NCC@2050 and its key themes are outlined in the report released today.  They have been developed by engaging residents and stakeholders from across the County through surveys, Let’s Talk Workshops, the 2020 Fall Forum and input and feedback from the Stakeholder Advisory Committee, Youth Planning Board, the Interagency Work Group, and other means.

Also, please let your friends, neighbors, and colleagues know about the upcoming NCC@2050 Deep Dive Sessions.  The first session will be held on February 3, 2021 at 6pm.  More information about the Deep Dive Sessions including registration can be found here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ncc2050-deep-dive-sessions-tickets-135522111283
