New Castle County Special Events are opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to interact and come together as a community to enjoy one of the County’s parks. The events serve to build trust and a sense of belonging to the community and thus improve our quality of life.

Severe Weather
In the event of high severity weather conditions, event attendees and participants will be advised by announcement from the event organizers to “shut down.” If there is not time for an orderly evacuation, event attendees will be advised to shelter in place in buses, automobiles, or park pavilions or structures as may be appropriate for the expected conditions.
