Our team in the Division of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Services manages enterprise GIS operations for the County including custom application development, analysis and representation of geographic data, and data sharing governance. Serving under the Department of Land Use, GIS Services aims to provide staff of all county departments, as well as the general public, the most accurate information possible through a variety of formats including: tabular, paper & digital maps, and map applications and services. GIS Map Application: Search for your property and view a variety of map layers including: Aerial photos, Census tracts, County districts, Infrastructure, Natural features, and Zoning and parcel data.
Our Explore New Castle County application is our most versatile application. Users can add county provided themes, upload personal datasets or files, and share through a variety of formats. This application is also mobile friendly.
The Mailing Label Generator map application allows the user to search by address, parcel number, or subdivision name then create mailing labels for notification purposes to include occupant or owner information.
Search for data downloads and shared map services in our Open Data Portal. GIS datasets maintained by New Castle County are compressed into zipped shapefiles or file geodatabases nightly, reflecting the most recent updates possible.
Our Map Application Gallery serves as a hub for interested parties to easily search a wide variety of geographic information within New Castle County. Visitors may now search and filter multiple map applications by topic or data set, and then easily search by address or parcel number.
The PDF Gallery contains downloadable maps in PDF format so users can print their own copies of official maps created by New Castle County. Each map reflects the date of production. Simply search by topic in the gallery search bar for a map of interest.
