Family Stroll Scavenger Hunt

Enjoy the beauty of the Rockwood Museum with a family garden stroll. Learn historical facts about the gardens, the designs, and creators. Garden tours will be held each Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Maximum of 10 people per tour. 

Wednesdays, 6-7 p.m., September 23 or 30

Fridays, 4:30-5:30, October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

A Gentleman's House and Garden Tour

History lovers will enjoy a garden walk as your guide shares the story behind the building of Rockwood Mansion and Gardens. Topics covered include architecture of the mansion, the history of Joseph Shipley's family, and the garden's unique design. Rockwood's Historic Structures Walking Tour

Take a rare walk back in time to learn how the existing and lost structures of Rockwood completed a working estate. Your guide will be dressed in vintage clothing and will use vintage photographs to provide you with the history of Rockwood as you walk from structure to structure. Tour is approximately 75 minutes in length and covers approximately 1 mile to include surfaces of grass, gravel and paved areas. Comfortable walking shoes and ability to traverse locations of the tour are recommended. Face masks required. COVID screening form and temperature checks will be completed by Rockwood staff. Ages 14 and up. Pre-registration required. Ages 14-Adult
