- National Recreation Trail in New Castle County
10 miles of the National Recreation Trail System runs through seven unique county and state parks in northeast New Castle County from the Brandywine Creek to the Delaware River connecting you to scenic byways in Delaware and beyond.
This is known as the Northern Delaware Greenway Trail (NDGT). This spectacular trail encompasses over 1,200 acres of preserved natural lands in the county’s Brandywine Hundred, with over 29 miles of interconnected trails and includes an amazing range of amenities for local residents and visitors to the region.
