As of Monday, March 16, 2020, all Sports and Recreation programs and services are suspended until further notice for the safety of public health due to the Coronavirus, including programs at Rockwood Museum, Carousel Park Equestrian Center, Hockessin Rec Center, Garfield Park Rec Center, Brandywine Town Center, Appoqunimink Rec Center, The Art Studio, and Absalom Jones Senior Center.

Parks remain open for exercise and fresh air.

Seniors Workout Class

Our 55+ Lifestyle Centers are warm, friendly places to make new friends or visit with old ones. Stop in weekdays to take a fitness class, make arts and crafts, and play games. Centers also host exciting trips and serve lunch for a nominal fee. Free transportation to and from the Absalom Jones Senior Center. Become a 55+ Lifestyle member, it’s FREE! Benefits include member discounts on trips and programs, including a selection of fitness and creative programs offered at no charge for 55+ Lifestyle members.
