Delaware Community Resource Exchange The Delaware Division of Libraries(DDL) is making the search for assistance with everything from housing and food to family counseling, adult education and job placement easier through the Delaware Libraries Community Resources Exchange.The Exchange brings social service organizations, agencies and public libraries together as Partners to maximize their resources. Through this combined effort, Delawareans will be able to walk into their public library - physically or virtually - and find the services they need all in one place.

The New Castle County Libraries will be closed on: Friday, July 3; Saturday, July 4; and Sunday, July 5 for the Independence Day holiday and our regular Sunday closings.

Left Behind: Chrysler's Newark Assembly Plant Past, Present and Future

Join us for this student-produced documentary which explores the historic automotive assembly plant in Newark and the unprecedented growth in what was then a small university town.
Students from University of Delaware’s Communications and Political Science departments interviewed plant workers, officials, citizens and other analysts for the documentary, originally created for a class taught by Ralph Begleiter. Mr. Begleiter will introduce the film and be available afterwards for questions. |
