The New Castle County Libraries will be closed on Friday, July 3; Saturday, July 4; and Sunday, July 5 for the Independence Day holiday and our regular Sunday closings.

Summer Reading Club
This year the New Castle County Libraries are partnering with several local area businesses to encourage kids of all ages to read. All children who read 6 or more hours during Summer Reading Club 2009, from June 1-August 15 will receive a multi-business discount card good at the following businesses:

Kidini-A Safe Way Home
Children are introduced to eight friendly characters - each one uniquely skilled to recognize, avoid and escape troublesome or dangerous situations. Each character’s bullying or safety lesson is immediately followed by a fun song to reinforce the lesson. For all ages.
