To better serve the communities of New Castle County, we are now offering leisure time activities to residents of all ages at several locations throughout New Castle County. We know you’ll catch our enthusiasm and will want to sign up for a class or two after you see the many activities offered in our Program Guide. You’ll find parent and tot classes, programs for preschoolers, activities for elementary-age children, teens, and, as always, our very popular adult classes.

Registration Information

For your convenience, we have assigned class program numbers to correspond with the appropriate center. If you are interested in classes offered at Garfield Park, simply look for program numbers with the letter "G." Classes offered at Hockessin begin with "H," classes held at the Brandywine Town Center start with "B," and programs in the MOT area begin with "M."

Please Note:  On occasion, class starting times and dates may vary from those printed in this Guide. Our staff will make every effort to notify registered patrons of time and date changes and inform participants of materials needed for a class, but if you are in doubt, we suggest that you call us at 302-571-4004 or 302-239-8861 prior to coming to the first class.

It is HIGHLY recommended that you register as soon as possible to be assured a spot in a class. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis; therefore, we suggest that you register in person at the designated center.

Keep in mind that phone reservations and/or spot holds are not accepted, and completed registration forms, accompanied by payment (cash or check) MUST be received seven calendar days prior to the start date of a class. Many of our drop-in programs are free of charge, but nominal fees are associated with most classes taught by certified instructors. Check with the staff if you have any questions or suggestions for new programs. If you have a special skill and would like to share your expertise and meet others who have the same interests, feel free to contact us to offer your services as an instructor.
