COUNCILWOMAN DILLER'S BIOGRAPHY...
Lisa Diller is a ten year resident of Newark and pastor of the Christiana Presbyterian Church in historic Christiana Village.
Lisa Diller is married to John Tobin. Lisa and John attended the University of Delaware as undergraduates and they returned to the community because they thought it would be a great place to raise their family. They live with their daughter Mei in Newark.
Lisa’s experience with both nonprofit organizations and government agencies gives her management experience and an understanding of the importance of constituent services. She served as the administrator for the State of Delaware’s Office of Volunteerism where she managed a multi-million dollar budget. She is a member of the Governor's Commission on Community and Volunteer Service. She also holds a Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary and teaches at several local colleges.
Lisa’s objectives are to provide a cost effective and responsive service delivery, promote sustainable growth and develop regional partnerships to bring jobs and transportation to residents.

Lisa Diller was sworn-in as a member of the New Castle County Council on February 27, 2009. The ceremony was conducted by Clerk of the Peace Kenneth W. Boulden, Jr. and she was joined by her husband John Tobin.

Councilwoman Diller presented a grant check to the volunteers at the HOPE Dining Room. (Left to Right: Paul Kelley, John Horner, Gerry Lucht, Ron Case, Peggy Case, Ditta Camomot and Paul Shunta)
