Bill began serving as a New Castle County Councilman representing the 12^th District in 2004.  His top priority is to improve public safety in our community by providing the staff, equipment and other tools necessary to enhance the effectiveness of our police force, paramedic service, fire service, emergency preparedness, and the 9-1-1 Communications Center.

He is presently the Co-Chair of the New Castle County Council’s Public Safety Committee.  He is also a member of the Council’s Finance/Administration Committee, Personnel Committee, Special Services Committee, Land Use Committee, Economic Development Committee, Executive Committee and Community Services Committee.

Bill has dedicated his life to public and community service in order make New Castle County safe and healthy.  He is currently the Information and Communications Coordinator for the Delaware River and Bay Authority.  He is the retired Chief of the New Castle County Department of Public Safety’s 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Center.

·      Former Vice President, New Castle County Volunteer Fireman’s Association.

·      Former President, New Castle County Fire Chief’s Association.

·      Member of the New Castle County Volunteer Fireman’s Association - Fireman of the Year, 1997.

·      Member of the Holloway Terrance/Mayview Manor Civic Association.

Bill’s goal is to assure that the citizens of New Castle County can safely raise their families in this community we are proud to call home.  He is always driving himself forward to achieve this goal.
