New Castle County Department of Public Safety announces new initiative

The New Castle County Department of Public Safety’s Communications Division has scheduled an important press conference early next week to announce the department’s new initiative in public safety for all citizens who call 911.

New Castle County will be the first location in the state to offer this innovative national service that makes emergency responders more effective and provides citizens with greater safety and peace-of-mind. We urge our friends in the local media to attend.

This national service that will now be available in New Castle County will enhance communications between New Castle County residents, visitors, and public safety agencies, including 911, Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Everyone who calls 9-1-1 will benefit from this new service.
