New Castle County Police Reinstates Policy in the Fight Against Gun Violence

NCCPD will be hosting a press conference at the Sweeney Public Safety Building, 1st Floor Community Conference Room, 3601 N. DuPont Hwy., New Castle, DE 19720 on Friday, April 21, at 10:30am. Media and public are encouraged to attend. County Executive Thomas Gordon, Director of Public Safety Joseph Bryant, Jr., and Police Chief E.M. Setting will be presiding. Gun violence has been an issue that has plagued and has had an everlasting effect on our citizens throughout this great nation as well as those around the world. As of late, the violence has impacted the citizens of New Castle County, our law enforcement and other emergency personnel. With this policy change we are hoping to ensure that the firearms which have been seized during investigations will never be used against our citizens or police officers again.
