Hockessin Art & Book Fair To Celebrate Delaware’s “Homegrown” Authors and Artists

New Castle County Executive Tom Gordon and the NCC Department of Community Services are pleased to announce that the Hockessin Art & Book Fair is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Hockessin Community Recreation Center in Hockessin.

“New Castle County is extremely excited to be a part of this free, public event, which will highlight local talent,” said County Executive Thomas P. Gordon. “This is a wonderful partnership to support small businesses. Come out to buy a signed book or piece of art.”

The Hockessin Art & Book Fair is collaboration between New Castle County’s Hockessin Community Recreation Center, Art Studio, and Hockessin Library; the Hockessin Book Shelf and the Written Remains Writers Guild.

This exciting new event celebrates Delaware’s independent, self-published authors and local artists. Each will feature their books or artwork inspired by their favorite books. The Hockessin Art & Book Fair is an excellent opportunity for book and art lovers to discover the incredible talent that exists in the State of Delaware.

Cindy Callaghan, author of young adult books, is the Honorary Event Chair and Keynote Speaker.
Readings and story time will be available for children. Woodside Farm Creamery and Drip Café will also provide refreshments for sale.
