The DEPARTMENT OF LAND USE AND PLANNING BOARD of New Castle County will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Gilliam Building, 77 Reads Way, New Castle, DE, beginning at 7 p.m. to consider the following applications. The order in which the applications are listed is subject to change.
App. 2014-0176-Z. Southwest side Lorewood Avenue and north of Maryland Avenue. This purpose of this proactive rezoning is to change the zoning at 6 ½ Lorewood Avenue from NC to CN to reflect the historical and existing commercial use of the property and to restrict the existing structure and future use of the property to remain consistent with the residential character of the area. Ord. 14-043 will rezone 0.10 acre from NC5 (neighborhood Conservation) to CN (Commercial Neighborhood) and to amend the 2012 Comprehensive Plan consistent therewith. CD 1.
