Learn about the practices and traditions of mourning loved ones in the Victorian era. Beginning with the medicinal practices of the day and ending with the symbolism of gravestones, we explore the customs
and superstitions of death. Examine actual memoirs and photographs routinely treasured in the past that may make us a little squeamish today. Adults. One 1-hour program, $10 residents/$15 Non-residents

Join us as we explore the trails at Rockwood.You will plot our course, make a hiking snack, and learn what and what not to wear on a hike. Will you be able to find the oldest tree on the property? Bring a refillable
water bottle and wear comfortable shoes.Girl Scouts will earn their Brownie Hiker badge. Ages 7-12. One 2-hour program, $10 resident/$15 non-resident.

Have you always wanted to know what letterboxing was all about? Join us as we learn some letterboxing lingo, make our own stamp and search for the hidden boxes on the property. Do you think we can find all of the letterboxes? Bring a refillable water bottle and wear comfortable shoes. Girl Scouts will earn their Brownie Letterboxing badge. Meet Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: author, journalist, doctor, and devout believer in Spiritualism or “Psychic Religion.” Best known for his stories about Sherlock Holmes, Doyle also published several books about Spiritualism. Join Mr. Doyle as he speaks about his works and his beliefs.
Adults. One 1-hour program, $10 residents/$15 non-residents.

Be the first to try our new orienteering game in the meadow. Will you be able to learn how to read a compass and navigate around our course? Come and find out! Juniors and Cadettes will earn their Orienteering Fun
