The 2018 New Castle County Sick Leave Bank open enrollment period will begin on Monday, January 1, 2018.
Enrollment must be completed no later than Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Absolutely no exceptions will be made to this deadline. Registration is only available online this year. No paper copies will be accepted. Please follow the detailed instructions below.
As a reminder, eligible employees must re-enroll each calendar year during the open enrollment period to continue active membership in the sick leave bank. Employees who donate to the sick leave bank can take up to six (6) months of paid leave for catastrophic personal medical situations when all other leave options have been exhausted. Please refer to the appropriate collective bargaining agreement for eligibility requirements. Eligible employees will be able to enroll in the sick leave bank during the month of January each year by donating a minimum of 1 day of sick leave and maximum of 12 days of sick leave.
It is easy to enroll online through PeopleSoft self-service via the following path:
Main Menu > Self Service > Benefits > NCC Sick Bank Enrollment.
Click "Enroll for Current Year" and simply enter the number of days you wish to donate (minimum of 1 day and maximum of 12 days) and click "Save." Employees will receive an automatic email reply after successfully completing this enrollment process.
NO PAPER FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED THIS YEAR.
